Name: Scout.
Age: 25.
Gender: Male.
Weapon(s): An ornate glaive, a bastard sword, or a dagger. His spells mainly manifest as electricity, force, or darker magic, but he is skilled in countless kinds of magic.
Faction: The Court.
Job: Mage, healer, fighter.
Romantic orientation: Heterosexual.
Appearance: While he is recognizable as a half-elf, the clockwork that covers his body draws eyes far more than any of his other characteristics. He has blue eyes and curly brown hair, sometimes worn in a ponytail. What skin can still be seen is fair. A constant ticking can be heard from his inner workings, which never ceases even for an instant. His clothing varies.
Attitude: Immortality and his new mechanical existence have made Scout cold and distant to most that he encounters. He is not incapable of emotion; he simply does not show it quite as much. He speaks very little to most. He always fights on his terms, and cares little for ensuring a “fair” fight. In combat, he is ruthless, and shows no quarter, nor asks for any.
Notable History: Scout grew up with his brother Snow, and his human and elf parents. Agents of the Court killed their parents in their childhood, whereupon Scout and Snow fled to the Silent Rose. They were gladly accepted, being refugees from the Silent Rose’s sworn enemies. Scout was trained in the art of spellcasting, and martial combat to a lesser extent. He was very talented at what he did, and he had a remarkable capacity for learning new magic. He gained power at a surprising rate, and soon, he was a potent mage. He fought against the Court, seeking revenge.
Despite Scout’s magical prowess, he was eventually overpowered by agents of the Court, who, unwilling to waste such a brilliant mind, took him back with them to their city as a prisoner. The Court offered him a choice: live as a servant to the Court, immortal, or die a slow and excruciating death. Scout chose immortality, and he was imbued with a clockwork body, the spring of which was wound tight with powerful magic.
Scout underwent a change in personality after the process was complete. He was no longer opposed to the Court. Many of his defining personality traits which had existed previously, such as his strong sense of humor and relatively casual outlook on life, were either lessened or vanished entirely. He was cold and hostile. While he still harbored a friendship with those that he knew personally before his change, he no longer had any regrets about killing the Silent Rose. Scout preferred solitude, however.
He currently dwells in a remote tower, and admits few visitors.
Reputation: Exalted with the Court, hostile with the Silent Rose, neutral with everyone else. Scout is notorious as a mage of great power. He rarely shows contempt for the Silent Rose, but he kills anyone who stands in his way without question.
