Andromache comes over and tries to open the chest, "This lock is complex", he says, giving up. "We should look for the key, perhaps it's in one of the Overseer's rooms."
The room has 5 doors, 2 on each side of the platform and one large, double door in front of it. The two had come out of one of the side doors, which had a chalk mark on it.

Athena spins around and points to a random room. "Let's try that one," she says.

Andromache goes over to the door and opens it. A long hallway is seen, and it leads on until it disappears in fog. There are counters on the sides of the hallway. The counters are about chest-height, and they have many different parts and tools scattered around them. "This is where they built the mindless's operating system." Andromache pointed out.

Athena motions for Andromache to follow her, and then, without waiting, dashes off down the hallway, wondering what is just beyond that fog.

Andromache follows Athena at speed with ease. But as the two run down the hallway, they hear a deafening crash, and then a loud churning. Andromache says "The gears are starting to move again" and stops.

"Does that mean the clocks are working?" she asks, ignoring the crash and pulling out her pocket watch. It gives a steady, reassuring, tick tick ticking sound.

Andromache looks forward into the mist "Grab hold of me, Archivist, we are unwanted company". The sound of metal footsteps is heard in the distance, and there are a lot of them.

Athena grabs hold of Andromache's hand, and slips the pocketwatch into her bag.

Andromache picks Athena off the ground and sprints at 50 kilometers per hour. He enters the room with the pedestal and holds the door shut. "We have about 2 minutes until they'll get through the door."

"I found the key," adds Athena, as though they had been talking about that. Jumping out of Andromache's hold, she presses her pocketwatch to the lock and murmurs a few words. Helpfully, the lock grinds open. She grins up at Andromache.

"Take the box and bring it with you back to your office, I'll be there in 45 seconds, be ready to lock the door." Banging and scraping can be heard from the other side of the door.

Athena closes the box tightly and clutches it to her chest; she smiles gratefully at Andromache and flees; tossing the box into her office, and skids in herself.

Andromache holds the door for 41.5 second, then busts through the marked door and jumps into Athena's office. The door is shut and locked behind him. Andromache goes to open the chest, "Why is this so special anyway?" He asks as he opens it.
The chest is empty, and dusty except for a rectangular space which has no dust on it at all. "How odd, it would seem there was a book here." Andromache puts the empty chest on Athena's desk and sits down. "Those were the same army-bots that were being made at that factory, but reports say that many of the bots left to go further North. We should find a way to start tracking the robots movement."

A series of loud crashes, bangs, and zaps can be heard from outside the door. This goes on for several minutes, until a series of four explosions is heard, and then there is silence for approximately sixteen seconds, at which point an uneven set of knocks is heard at the door.

Andromache stands and turns to Athena, "Shall I get that?" he asks, trying hard to be gentlemanly.
