Name: Sir Johnathan Anderson
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Faction: Firestarter
Job: Paladin
Weapon(s): Johnathan is a simple guy. His only weapon is the Phoenix. The Phoenix is a really, really, really old sword, it's origins lost to antiquity. The Phoenix has powerful magical abilities. John uses it as a focus for his otherwise pitiful magical abilities. Additionally, it can also be broken by its wielder to release a titanic, mass of magical energy which can be shaped by its wielder. John usually uses this to create literal Phoenix. The magic created by this effect eventually returns to sword form, recreating the blade. John is also a skilled and experienced brawler. John has some magical ability, but his powers are more or less useless without the Phoenix or other amplifier, and he can only control flame and light, or cure scratches.

The only difference is that it has a ruby in its pommel.
Romantic Orientation: Straight
Appearance: John is of average build, standing 6' tall. He has red eyes, a byproduct of wielding the Phoenix, and has short black hair. He wears a red trench coat at all times, which is enchanted to serve as armor and make him fireproof. He wears fingerless black gloves which cover his forearms, lined with strips of metal. The Phoenix is sheathed at his side, kept in a loop of leather. He wears an unadorned gold ring on his right hand.
Attitude: Boisterous and happy, John lives life to the fullest. He has seen so much death that he knows how precious his own life is, especially considering the fact that he sticks his neck out on an almost daily basis to protect innocents and others who need his help. He is slow to anger and seeks peaceful solutions to problems, but will not hesitate to use violence if it becomes necessary.
Notable History: John has always had a strong moral code. When he was a child, his father was killed in the war between the Sonambulists and the Firestarters. John decided then that he wanted to stop other people from having to go through what he did. He started applying himself rigorously to everything he worked at, becoming determined to excel so that he could succeed in his mission. One day, he picked a fight with three bullies, who were the biggest, strongest kids in his school. He was badly beaten, but made an excellent account of himself, which attracted the notice of a passing knight. The knight, impressed by John's courage, offered to take him on as a squire. John accepted. He was apprenticed to the knight for many years, learning all of the necessary skills for knighthood. When the time came, however, he instead followed the path of the paladin, swearing his life to good deeds for their own sake rather than the spreading of religion.
John quickly picked up a reputation as a skilled and honorable, if highly unorthodox, warrior, and he gained praise and recognition from Firestarter leadership. He became disillusioned with the system, however, and ultimately decided to divorce himself from the hierarchy of the Firestarters, becoming a Quester, or knight or paladin who seeks something independently from the Firestarters. John sought to help those who he could not have otherwise, and he became something of a legend in the process.
Now, John does as he has always done: quests for justice, fights the good fight, and lives his life the way he has always wanted to.
Reputation: John has a reputation as a maverick, but is considered dependable when a job needs doing. He is almost universally liked.
