[Name >> Opal Stygian
[Age >> 18
[Gender >> Female
[Faction >> Somnambulist
[Job >> Alchemist
[Weapon(s) >> None
[Romantic orientation >> Opal has no interest in romantic relationships. She does not know/care if she is straight, gay, bi or otherwise. If asked, she would probably accept, but only for the sake of experience.
[Appearance >> Opal is a young woman built roughly along the same lines as a train. She is well muscled and short, but not bulky. Her skin is naturally tanned and her features hint towards oriental origins. Her face is naturally somber but laugh lines have formed due to her constant smirking. Her eyes are unnervingly black in the sunlight, but are a much softer brown in the shadows.
[Attitude >> Opal is actually a rather calm and contented person. If left alone she would idle her time away amusing herself. However Opal likes people. She doesn't like them because of any normal reason- rather she likes them in the same way that a mechanic likes machinery. She loves to see how people work- what sets them off, what motivates them, and especially what breaks their minds.
[Notable History >> For a long time Opal was no more than a simple alchemist. Actually, she was a bit less about alchemy and more about cooking. She surmised that acids and solvents were nice enough, but if you could have the same effect with flour, chicken blood and a few sticks of rhubarb, so much the better. So she went on in her strange brand of study, making odd concoctions out of household ingredients and finding things no one had ever dreamed of. Along the way she learned quite a bit about how the universe is so very tidy and how nothing is wasted and large truths like that, which is of course very natural for someone who spends all day trying to figure out how to make gold out of eggs, bone marrow and pork snouts.
It didn't surprise her at all when she stumbled upon The Secret.
Not the secret of the meaning of truth or anything silly like that. Opal had discovered the secret of making life. She realized that she had the power to rule nations, end lives and cause
innumerable people pain.
Then she realized that this held absolutely no appeal.
So she decided to be completely impartial and give every horrible abomination the decision of what it wants to do in it's life. Of course, most of them end up working for her since there are very few occupations for creatures with spines and tentacles all over, but it's the thought that matters.
[Reputation >> Opal doesn't have much of a reputation. She doesn't go out much and most people quietly ignore the monsters around her, afraid that they're hallucinating or (and this prospect scares them even more) actually seeing a young woman conversing with monsters.
